SUBJECTS AND OUR TEACHERS

The MA (MCJ) BATCH2007 were taught several subjects.
The media of instruction were English and Marathi.
Students could opt for either language.
Some of the lectures were common for both the languages while for some subjects, the lectures were separate as per the language of the students.

Mr. Ajit Soman taught Advertisement.

Ms. Aruna Nafday taught Media Law and Ethics.

Mr. Avinash Pandit taught Book Editing.


Dr. Bal Phondke taught Science Journalism.

Ms. Gloria Khamkar taught Radio and Television journalism (Sem I) and Television Journalism (Coordinator Sem IV).

Mr. Jaidev Dole taught History of Journalism and Editing (Marathi).

Mr. Joseph Pinto taught Editing (English) and Feature Writing.

Prof. Dr. Kiran Thakur (retd) taught News Reporting, Current Affairs, Online Journalism and Investigative Journalism. He also coordinated the Development Communication paper.

Mr. Prasannakumar Aklujkar taught Book Editing and Magazine Journalism.

Dr. Raja Pokhrapurkar taught Sociology of Communication.

Mr. Samar Nakhate taught Film Studies.

Mr. Sirish Sahashrabuddhe taught Media Management.

Ms. Sushma Datar taught Sociology of Communication.

Dr. Ujjwala Barve taught Research Methodologies and Radio Journalism

Mr. Vinayak Hardikar taught Milestones of History and International Political Communication.

Mr. Vinayak Nerlekar taught us Computer basics including softwares needed for the print medium.

Col. (retd) V. Tambekar taught Public Relations.


Mr. Vishram Dhole taught Introduction to Mass Communication.

Moreover, as part of the course, the students were guided by the faculty members for the dissertation.
